It is entirely dedicated to Debussy and has been described as \u00ab a major reading \u00bb\u00a0that\u00a0\u00ab squares the circle of musical perfection and artistic imagination \u00bb by Belgian\u00a0<em>Crescendo Magazine<\/em>, which selected it among the 12 best classical recordings of the year. His previous albums, devoted to Rachmaninoff and Chopin, have been enthusiastically welcomed by the international press (\u00ab A New Masterstroke \u00bb - <em>Le Figaro, <\/em>\u00ab A Highly Accomplished Chopinist \u00bb\u00a0- <em>BBC Music Magazine<\/em>).\r\n\r\nIn February 2020, he was awarded the Thierry Scherz Prize at the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, which offered him the opportunity to record a <strong>CD with the<\/strong> <strong>Bern Symphony Orchestra<\/strong> for <em>Claves Records<\/em>, featuring Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Arno Babadjanian's Heroic Ballad, released in March 2022.\r\n\r\nJean-Paul has been nominated at the\u00a0<strong><em>Victoires de la musique classique 2021<\/em><\/strong>, in the \u00ab Revelation Soloist \u00bb category. He played Mendelssohn's\u00a0<em>Concerto n.1<\/em>\u00a0with Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider and the Orchestre National de Lyon at the ceremony concert, which was broadcasted live on French national television.\r\n\r\nIn May 2022, Jean-Paul performed as a soloist at the <strong>Philharmonie de Paris<\/strong>, accompanied by the Orchestre National d'Ile-de-France. In May 2023, he premiered in France Howard Shore's <em>Ruin &amp; Memory<\/em>, in presence of the composer himself, with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France.\r\n\r\nHe is the <strong>winner of the Bremen European Competition 2014<\/strong> and has been a laureate at many other competitions. He is also the piano Laureate of the Cziffra Foundation Prize 2015.\r\n\r\nHe has obtained the <strong>1st Philosophy Prize at the Concours G\u00e9n\u00e9ral des Lyc\u00e9ens de France<\/strong> (French national contest) in 2013.\r\n\r\nJean-Paul Gasparian has played with Orchestras such as the <strong>Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, Orchestre National d\u2019\u00cele-de-France, Bremer Philharmoniker, Robert-Schumann Philharmonie, N\u00fcrnberger Symphoniker, Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, Berner Symphonieorchester<\/strong>, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Serbian Radio-Television Orchestra, Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de la Regi\u00f3n de Murcia, Orchestre National d'Avignon...\r\n\r\nHe also <strong>replaced at last minute Christian Zacharias<\/strong> in Chemnitz (Germany) with Mozart\u2019s 24th Concerto under famous Austrian conductor Leopold Hager, in January 2018.\r\n\r\nJean-Paul has given recitals at important festivals, among them : <strong>Festival de la Roque d\u2019Anth\u00e9ron<\/strong>, <strong>Nohant Festival Chopin<\/strong>, <strong>Piano aux Jacobins<\/strong>, Fl\u00e2neries de Reims,\u00a0Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo, Festival de Saint-Denis,\u00a0<strong>Festival Radio-France de Montpellier<\/strong>, Festival de Menton, Kissinger Sommer Festival, <strong>Schleswig-Holstein Festival<\/strong>, <strong>Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad<\/strong>, Armenia International Music Festival and has played in venues such as the <strong>Salzburg Mozarteum<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tonhalle Z\u00fcrich<\/strong>, Hamburg\u2019s Laeiszhalle, Bremen's Die Glocke, Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan, the <strong>Salle Flagey<\/strong> in Brussels,\u00a0the Louis Vuitton Foundation\u00a0and the <strong>Philharmonie de Paris<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nHis Schumann Second Sonata <em>Live in Nohant 2015<\/em> has been released together with Aldo Cicccolini\u2019s last recital, as the first album of the Nohant Festival Archives. And <em>Classica Magazine<\/em> has ranked Jean-Paul among the 10 most promising young pianists of his generation.\r\n\r\nBorn in Paris in 1995, Jean-Paul Gasparian studied at Paris National Conservatoire with Olivier Gardon, Jacques Rouvier, Michel Beroff, Laurent Cabasso, Claire D\u00e9sert and Michel Dalberto. Jean-Paul has been member of international piano masterclasses with Elisso Virsaladze and Tatiana Zelikman, selected for the Verbier Academy 2014, and Prize Winner of the Salzburg Academy 2010. In 2018, he gratuated from the Royal College of Music in London (Artist Diploma), with Prof. Vanessa Latarche.\r\n\r\nJean-Paul is supported by the Banque Populaire Foundation.
