Laia Barberà de Luna

Laia Barberà de Luna was born in Barcelona. She studied harp at the Musikene in San Sebastian, Spain and received important musical impulses from renowned harpists such as Gabriella Victoria, Françoise Vervheve, Sandrine Chatron, Isabelle Perrin, Gwyneth Wentink, Remy van Kesteren, Frederique Cambreling, Christine Icart, Cristina Montes, Céline Landelle and Tiziana Tagliani.

Laia Barberà de Luna played with renowned youth orchestras such as the Spanish National Youth Orchestra and the Catalan National Youth Orchestra from an early age. More recently, she has performed with orchestras such as the Frankfurt Opera, the Essen Philharmonic and the Bremen Philharmonic in Germany as well as with Les Arts, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Basque National Orchestra, the Navarra Symphony Orchestra and the Extremadura Orchestra in Spain. International festivals such as the Tanglewood Music Center in Boston and Entre deux airs in Bordeaux have invited Laia Barberà de Luna.

She has been a member of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra’s Mendelssohn Academy since 2022.
