City tour with live music and dance

14. September 2024
10:30 Uhr
Naschmarkt, vor der Alten Börse

Explore Leipzig’s city centre with a dancing couple and three musicians with historical instruments, all dressed in baroque costumes. Enjoy performances and music that bring Leipzig’s dance and music life in the Baroque and Rococo periods back to life.

During this theatrical concert, you will learn many interesting facts about the city’s dancing masters, the first opera, theatre life, famous composers, book and music printers as well as the amusements during the Leipzig Fair. At the end, perhaps you will dance a little guided contredanse yourself – just like in Bach’s time.
