Apart from a short phase with a desire to be a vet (as with every 7-year-old girl), pretty early on: musician.

The pleasure of music-making is not only related to the work, but also to the place of performance, the players, the form of the day, and much more.

Helena Winkelmann, an incredible composer, violinist and personality!

When my daughter whines.
Special / curious own concert experience:
I was playing Bruch’s Violin Concerto in Brazil and during the 1st movement the lights suddenly went out il whole hall. We all played on, thank God the orchestra musicians had desk lights!
My most valuable tip for the next generation of musicians:
There is no secret recipe for success, but unwavering dedication doesn’t hurt!
That's what I wish for the future of the classical music scene:
Less image cultivation and more focus on the essentials.
My next project:
All Beethoven sonatas in the Bremen Sendesaal, a mammoth task that I am looking forward to.
